Kate Danta E-RYT 500

Kate first began practicing yoga at the age of 19 and has been a teacher for over 35 years. She received her first certification from The Harriman School of Yoga, located in Santa Monica, CA where she was trained in the style of Indra Devi Yoga. She studied with Rama Berch, for over a decade, completing her Yoga Teacher’s training course once in the early 1990’s and again in 2000. Kate had the great fortune of teaching and learning her craft at Master Yoga Academy in La Jolla, CA under the tutelage of Rama Berch for several years.

“Surrender is the key to a blissful journey and the journey is about living in the ‘now’ and not just while you’re in a yoga pose.”

She received certification from KYI, (Kundalini Yoga International) in 2013. She did her training with Meherbani and Guru Mantra at their home based studio here in San Diego. Recently she has met the qualifications to register with Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher. She is in the process of preparing a Yoga Teacher’s Training in the style that has emerged organically over the years called Dantayama Yoga. This 200 hour training will begin in January of 2020 for 10 weekends to be distributed over a period of 5 months, averaging two weekends per month. Kate is also certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner, Massage Therapist and most recently became certified in Bio-Electric Lymphatic Drainage. She humbly shares the outgrowth of her work through P.B. Yoga & Healing Arts in offering daily classes, workshops and community events. Kate is available by appointment only for private sessions that include one or more of the aforementioned modalities.
